About me.

I am a photographer based in Wales with more than 25 years of experience documenting stories across the UK and around the world. I have always taken a photojournalistic approach to my work, working and learning alongside journalists and those whose stories we represent.

For 22 years, I worked as a staff photographer for the Daily Mirror newspaper, covering national and international events in more than 70 countries. Assignments have taken me from the Ebola crisis in West Africa and the Nepalese earthquake of 2015 to the fall of ISIS in Iraq and Syria and the invasion of Ukraine. Additionally I have provided coverage from major sporting events including the London 2012 Olympics and Wales at the UEFA Euro 2016.

I specialise in conflict, humanitarian and environmental photography, and have worked extensively with non-governmental organisations to highlight communities facing adversity and change. Alongside news and documentary work, I also enjoy shooting portraits, music and editorial features.

My work has received three British Press Awards nominations, and I was named Press Photographer of the Year in 2014. Through every assignment, my aim remains the same: to create honest images that tell a story.
