Baby Nina’s family, from Kurdistan, allowed me to document her cleft treatment, from the initial consultation through to her post-operative recovery. This provided a unique opportunity to showcase the work of the British charity CLEFT - Bridging The Gap.

Rather than relying on short-term surgical missions, CLEFT - Bridging The Gap focuses on training local surgeons and therapists, whilst helping to establish permanent treatment facilities.
