Green Wall.
Working with UK charity Tree Aid in Ghana, I documented one community’s role in the Great Green Wall initiative, an ambitious African-led project to restore degraded land across the Sahel. By engaging local people to plant and manage trees, the programme aims to create local sources of income, enhance food security and help regenerate a fragile ecosystem, with the ultimate goal of restoring 100 million hectares of land across the continent.
